John and I went to the Carrie Underwood concert on Friday night at the Reno Events Center. It was a lot of fun! Craig Morgan opened for her. She put on a pretty entertaining event. Carrie had a least 7 or 8 outfit changes and her stage had several moving parts! Here are some pictures from the event…I will apologize ahead a time for my blurry pics! Enjoy!
My company decided to close down our Japan operations earlier this year. As a result we had to send someone over there from IT to perform data destruction and equipment recovery. I was offered the opportunity and gladly accepted. I ended up getting to spend a week in Tokyo. My hotel was located in Ginza which is a high end, touristy shopping district. The endless blocks of shopping in Ginza provided great exploring and people watching. My company had several offices spread across the area, but they were all shut down and my time was spent at our main office in Ueno, which was about a 30 minute subway ride away from my hotel in Ginza. Outside of my time spent working I was able to enjoy several amazing food spots. Tried some firsts; Duck, Bamboo, and some eggs from some other type of bird besides of a chicken. Fortunately there was a starbucks 3 blocks from my hotel so I didn’t go without.
I also visited Akihabara, which is also known as Electric Town. There were some amazing sites there for any gadget/technology aficionado.
This morning we met up with our good friends the Heenans for a hike up at Thomas Creek. It was a beautiful day! The sun was out and all you could see for miles was blue sky! It was chilly up on the trail though and still tons of snow on the ground! It was a lot of fun. Thanks Heenans!!! Here are a couple pics…enjoy!
On Easter we went to brunch at the Red Hawk Golf club…they always put on a lovely event. We went with John’s parents John and Linda, his sister Carrie and her husband Scott, their two girls Mason and McKenna, and Uncle T. Here are a couple pics of the group!
This was at our Raley’s a couple weeks ago and I thought it was kinda funny! I had to drive by and snap a pic! Enjoy!
So like I said before I traveled down to So. Cal. on St. Patty’s day to visit family and friends. I stayed for about a week. It was a really nice visit!

On my March break I traveled down to So. Cal. to visit family and friends. I flew in on St. Patty’s day! My parents made a very cool dinner! Everything was green! We had corned beef and cabbage….which was yummy! My G-ma, cousin, sister and her boyfriend also made it over for dinner! It was a fun evening. Checkout the pics!
We got to attend a Reno Bighorns b-ball game with some friends back in March. It was a neat experience! http://www.nba.com/dleague/reno/

For Valentine’s day we celebrated by going to the Brad Paisley/Miranda Lambert concert. (Country music…for those of you who don’t know!) It was so much fun! They played at the Reno Events Center downtown! It was a great event! John even had a good time!
