My Tokyo Trip

My company decided to close down our Japan operations earlier this year. As a result we had to send someone over there from IT to perform data destruction and equipment recovery. I was offered the opportunity and gladly accepted. I ended up getting to spend a week in Tokyo. My hotel was located in Ginza which is a high end, touristy shopping district. The endless blocks of shopping in Ginza provided great exploring and people watching.  My company had several offices spread across the area, but they were all shut down and my time was spent at our main office in Ueno, which was about a 30 minute subway ride away from my hotel in Ginza.  Outside of my time spent working I was able to enjoy several amazing food spots.  Tried some firsts; Duck, Bamboo, and some eggs from some other type of bird besides of a chicken.  Fortunately there was a starbucks 3 blocks from my hotel so I didn’t go without. :)  I also visited Akihabara, which is also known as Electric Town.  There were some amazing sites there for any gadget/technology aficionado.
