Just a little update on our beautiful baby girls! Bella and Lola are doing well and keeping us very busy! Bella is now 14 months and weighs 11.7lbs. and Lola is now 10 months and weighs 12.1 lbs…she passed up her big sis!! Her are some recent pics of the little rascals!
Last weekend was our 2nd annual camping trip/Truckee river float/Squaw beer and jazz fest!!! There were 19 of us who enjoyed the dirt, campfires, river, live music and beer! We can’t wait till next year to do it all over again! Checkout the few pics that were taken that weekend!
At the beginning of August my family was here for a visit, we had a great time and my sister even made the trip! While they were in here it was “Hot August Nights” here in town so we got to attend some of the events in downtown Sparks and Reno. There were around 5,500 historic cars that came into town that week…pretty awesome!
We also made reservations one night at “Roxy Bistro” (a fancy martini restaurant downtown) to celebrate my dad and sisters birthdays. We even let Kell play the slots for awhile!
To end their trip, the day before they left we all got in a raft and floated down the Truckee river! Fun stuff! Here are some pics of their visit!
Well on August 4th I started back at school…it was a quick six weeks that I had off! For those of you that don’t know I am teaching at a multi-track year round school now so I don’t have the full summer off but I do have a pretty awesome schedule. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it and I love it! I teach for about 3 months and then I have about 4-6 wks off! Pretty sweet huh?!
So I’ve been back now for almost three weeks and I have a pretty good class! This is my second year teaching first grade and I am really enjoying it! I have 17 fabulous first graders! I still can’t believe this is my fourth year teaching…crazy how time flies when we get “older”! haha

At the end of July I was able to head down to Orange County and visit family, go to an Angel game, see Wicked at the Pantages, and attended a friends bridal shower! It was good to be back in the O.C. and see everyone! Here are some pics of my trip!
John and I had our first wedding anniversary on July 7th,2008! We still can’t believe its been a year! Time flies when you’re having fun! We celebrated by spending the weekend in Napa…drinking a little vino and relaxing in wine country. Checkout a few pics!
In July John was on team with several of our friends to run the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey. The Odyssey is a relay run on a 178 mile course that starts in downtown Reno along the Truckee River which continues through the Sierra Nevada mountains and along the shores of Lake Tahoe and lastly circles back through the Northern Nevada high desert to Reno. Johns team finished in about 28 hours. Fun was had by all! Me and two of the other better halves volunteered at one of the “posts” in South Lake from 11:30pm-3:30am checking in runners and cheering them on! It was good times! Here are a few pics!
We went shopping and bought a new living room set! It’s beautiful and we love it so much! We got two new lazy boy sofas, two end tables, coffee table/ottoman, and a lazy boy chair! Here are some pics of our new fancy grown-up furniture!
