So I just posted several different posts to catch everyone up on everything thats been going on in the life of the Barsodi newlyweds! We will try and be more faithful to our website and keep it updated more often. Checkout all of the wonderful pictures! Happy Holidays! More to come soon!
Well we’ve got our tree up and the house is all decorated for the holidays! Check it out!
This last weekend we took the new Jeep up Peavine up into the snow to do a little sleding. We took Bella and she loved running around in the snow! Checkout the pics!
On December 8th John’s work (IGT) had their holiday “Winterfest”. Most of our “potluck” crew works at IGT so they all attended the big party! We all got to dress up and had a great time. There were over 1,600 people in attendance at this elegant red carpet afair. There was a DJ, dancing, professional ballroom dancers for entertainment, lavish dinner and dessert buffetts, martini bar and more. Here are a couple of pics of our group!
Well the snow has come and it feels like winter! We’ve had several little snow storms pass through and left us with a beautiful blanket of snow! It’s been cold here too! The last few days on my way to work its been 18 degrees…with a high of 34!!!!!!! CRAZY!!!!!!!! Driving in the snow isn’t much fun! I had my first driving experience in the snow and yes I survived but it was scary at first!
My school gets more snow because it sits at a higher elevation than our house… so school with snow is definatly an experience! We had our first “delayed start” beacause of the bad weather and almost a snow day due to the snow and poweroutage! Definatly different than in Anaheim! Checkout the pics of our house and my school in the snow!
So I finally got to track off and spent three weeks in So. Cal visiting friends and family! My parents flew up to Sparks on a weekend and drove me and Bella back to Irvine, where we stayed. During our visit Bella and Chloe (my parents dog) became best buds…although at first Chloe wanted nothing to do with my Bella! I enjoyed my time in So. Cal! John actually was down in Irvine for work training and got to stay at my parents with me one of the weeks. He then flew home to work a couple of days and then back to So. Cal for Thanksgiving. We drove to Oxnard where we had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my Aunt Tanya and Uncle Tims! It was really good to see family! While we were in So. Cal John bought a new Jeep. (Checkout his post on his “new toy”) So we drove back to Sparks one behind the other! Bella was a good sport both on the 10hour ride out to So. Cal and the long ride home back to Sparks!
Paul and Robin had a super cool Halloween party! Everyone from our “potluck” group came and more! It was a lot of fun….and everyone dressed up! Earlier in the day Bella had her Halloweiner costume on, she didn’t like it too much! Here are the pics!
In October my parents and sister came up to visit for a long weekend and head up to Apple Hill with us and the Owens. Apple Hill is a very cool place in Northern Cali. where there are tons of differnt farms that have pumpkin patches and fruit stands…anything and everything APPLE for you to buy and take home! They also had petting zoo’s and crafts for sale. Lots and lots to see to say the least! It really gets you in the mood for harvest! We also stopped to do a little wine tasting on the hill! Checkout these pics!
At the end of September I was getting ready to track off of school (since we had been in since July!) and got news that they were closing my afternoon Kinder class due to low enrollment! So…I was given the option to continue teaching Kinder half-time or move grade levels. Moving grade levels also meant that I had to change tracks and wait another month to track off! Needless to say I moved to First grade. I have 20 little rascals in my First grade class and I am loving it! I might even like it better than Kinder!
A couple of weeks ago we made it down to the O.C. to visit family and hit up good old Knott’s Berry Farm for John’s dads company picnic. It was a very short visit but we had a great time! While we were down we got to help my parents celebrate their 30th wedding anniversay with a small surprise dinner! It was very nice! Checkout the pics of the Barsodi’s, Pelton’s and Owen’s getting a little Knott’s action!
