The Barsodi’s!

So this summer break I had 7 weeks vacation!! Yay! My mom and sister came up for about a week to visit, help set-up the nursery and have a little girl bonding time!  Then the three of us and the dogs drove down to Orange County so I could visit with friends and family. I stayed for about 10 days! It was a great trip!

During my stay we had a fabulous brunch on the Queen Mary to celebrate my aunt and uncles 60th bdays! I also got to attend a good friends wedding celebration. And of course my trip wouldn’t be complete without an Angel game! My Dad and I got to go to a game (baby barsodi’s first of many…in womb of course!).

For the holiday weekend John and I drove down to Orange County to visit family. We had a 4 day weekend so it didn’t make the driving part too bad. It was nice getting to spend time with my parents and sister for a few days. On our last day there my parents had a memorial day party and invited all the family over to celebrate! It was so great to see everyone although that wasn’t the real reason for the visit! At the party John and I announced that we’re pregnant! We wanted to tell family in person the great news! Everyone was so surprised and excited!! Here are some pics from the weekend!

My company decided to close down our Japan operations earlier this year. As a result we had to send someone over there from IT to perform data destruction and equipment recovery. I was offered the opportunity and gladly accepted. I ended up getting to spend a week in Tokyo. My hotel was located in Ginza which is a high end, touristy shopping district. The endless blocks of shopping in Ginza provided great exploring and people watching.  My company had several offices spread across the area, but they were all shut down and my time was spent at our main office in Ueno, which was about a 30 minute subway ride away from my hotel in Ginza.  Outside of my time spent working I was able to enjoy several amazing food spots.  Tried some firsts; Duck, Bamboo, and some eggs from some other type of bird besides of a chicken.  Fortunately there was a starbucks 3 blocks from my hotel so I didn’t go without.  I also visited Akihabara, which is also known as Electric Town.  There were some amazing sites there for any gadget/technology aficionado.

So yes I was on vacation again! I was off for four weeks this time. I spent half the time here at home in Sparks and the other half down in So. Cal. visiting with family and friends. It was a great break…it just went by way too fast. We drove down to Orange County so the dogs could make the trip too!

During our visit in So. Cal. we visited with family and friends, went to Disneyland and had Thanksgiving at my aunt and uncles place in Oxnard. I will post pics soon of all the fun stuff…check back soon!

I got to head down to So. Cali to attend Jen and Zack’s wedding. It was a beautiful event! It was good to see some old friends and hangout with my lil sis…she was the maid of honor! Here are some pics of the wedding!

We spent the holiday weekend with several of our friends in a cabin out in Whitehawk Ranch, which is out near Graeagle, CA. It was a great couple of days. We went on hike by some beautiful lakes, played games, celebrated a birthday, soaked in the pool and just had a blast! Bella and Lola even made the trip and made a new friend…Cooper the dog (Meagan and Justin’s pup). Hear are some pics of our relaxing weekend!

Last weekend was our 2nd annual camping trip/Truckee river float/Squaw beer and jazz fest!!! There were 19 of us who enjoyed the dirt, campfires, river, live music and beer! We can’t wait till next year to do it all over again! Checkout the few pics that were taken that weekend!

At the end of July I was able to head down to Orange County and visit family, go to an Angel game, see Wicked at the Pantages, and attended a friends bridal shower! It was good to be back in the O.C. and see everyone! Here are some pics of my trip!

John and I had our first wedding anniversary on July 7th,2008! We still can’t believe its been a year! Time flies when you’re having fun! We celebrated by spending the weekend in Napa…drinking a little vino and relaxing in wine country. Checkout a few pics!
