Teagan is such an amazing gift from God! John and I are so very blessed! She is growing and changing so much everyday. We went to the doctor this week for her 2 month check-up and she now weighs 11lbs even and is 22 3/4 inches long! She got her first set of shots and she did a great job! I was very lucky enough to stay home with our new little addition for 10 weeks! I feel like I haven’t been to work in forever, but it’s been so great to be able to stay home and bond with my new baby girl. I’m not too excited to head back to work and leave her at home. I don’t know how all you mommies out there do it! I do have some peace of mind knowing that John is going to work from home, my mom is flying up and John’s mom will be home with Teagan over these next few weeks! We are putting off daycare as long as we can!
Well I go back to work on Monday but I just keep telling myself it’s only for 3 weeks! In 3 weeks I’ll be on track break again for a month…that’s what’s so great about my job!! I’m looking forward to my March break so I can spend more time with my beautiful baby girl!
Well I’ve joined the 30′s club! I was down in So. Cal. visiting family on my big b-day…it was really great! My mom made a nice dinner and family came over to help celebrate! We had ice cream cake, balloons, and played apples to apples! It was a lot of fun! Here are a couple pics from my 30th!
During my maternity break Teagan and I decided to fly down to So. Cal. to visit family in January. She did amazing on her first plane ride! I held her in my lap and she slept the entire time…once we landed at LAX her eyes flew open and she was ready to be changed and for a snack!
We stayed for about 9 days and visited with friends and family! Everyone was so eager to meet little Miss Teagan! John was able to fly down and join us at the end of the week for a few days. On Saturday my parents threw an Open House for more friends and family to come meet our new little addition. It was great to see everyone and so neat for everyone to meet Teags!
We are truely blessed with so many great friends and family in So. Cal….we miss you all so much! We can’t wait to see you all again on our next trip down! Click here are some pictures from our trip. Enjoy!
We decided to still host our New Year’s Eve party this year even though we are new parents! It was a fun night…even if we all didn’t make it to midnight! Some of our close friends and their kiddos came over to help ring in the new year. We ate, chatted and played! Thanks to our friends for helping us ring in 2011! Click here for pics!
Christmas came and went so quickly this year but it was a lot of fun! My parents and sister were in town to help us celebrate Teagan’s first Christmas! We all went to a beautiful Christmas Eve service at the Summit church and dinner at P.F. Changs (something different!). Then on Christmas day we all went over to John’s mothers house for a very nice Christmas dinner. It was great to spend the holiday with Teagan’s grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins up here in Reno! It was definatly an amazing Christmas. We have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving…with the birth of our baby girl a few days earlier! My parents were able to drive up to be here for the birth of their first grand baby! They stayed the week to celebrate turkey day and visit with little Miss Teagan. They were such a great help around the house….thanks mom and dad for everything!!!
On Thanksgiving we had both John’s parents and mine here to celebrate with a lovely turkey dinner. It was really great celebrating with family Teagan’s first turkey day. We are truly thankful for all that we are blessed with! Especially our baby girl! Here are some pics from the week!

John and I are blessed with a beautiful baby girl! Teagan Marie was born on Sunday, November 21st at 5:32pm! At birth she was 7lbs 12oz and 20 1/2 inches long!
I started having contractions at 1am that morning. By 11am John insisted that we go to the hospital. It’s a good thing he did because by 11:30am my water had broke and I was dilated to 5cm! We started pushing at 4:30pm and by 5:32pm we got to meet our little girl! What an exciting adventure! We are loving life as a family of three! Tonight we met up with some friends down at the Sierra Summit Mall to see the Christmas tree lighting. It was a really neat event but boy was it freezing!!! It was like 35 degrees out and really windy! But we all managed to still have fun! First they had a hand bell choir playing. Next they had Santa and Mrs. Claus show up on a firetruck escorted by a marching band. Then they had Christmas music playing while they lit the tree combined with a really cool fireworks show right behind the tree! I can’t believe Christmas is right around the corner!! Sorry the pics didn’t turn out great I was so cold so I couldn’t keep the camera still!
So John finally brought me over to the “smart” phone and I love it!!! I’m so addicted! I didn’t really think I needed a smart phone. I was happy with my little old “dumb” phone…but boy way I wrong! I got the Droid incredible. I’m still trying to figure it all out…but i’m in love with my new phone! Thanks hun for setting me up!
